Development of the Lofts at Brownwood began this week.
Residents of the 265 age-restricted apartment-style units will pay a monthly amenities fee just like regular homeowners, which will give them access to all of the amenities other residents enjoy.
No word yet on if the fee will be the same or different from what other residents pay.
The complex is within walking distance of Brownwood Paddock Square and will of course be golf cart accessible to the rest of the community.
Look for these to go quick, as this is something readers have been asking me about for a very long time.

The Villages Grown, a project announced at this year’s Evening With the Developer event, which will provide locally grown vegetables to restaurants, food stores and retail customers, received final approval this week from the Wildwood City Commission. [Villages-News]
The Villages will be holding 4th of July celebrations in all three town squares from 5pm – 9pm on Wednesday July 4.
At various times across the three squares there will be stilt walkers, bagpipers, live music, food and drinks, and much more.
Notably absent though: fireworks.
