In our last issue I told you about Larry, the 700 or 800-pound (depending who you ask) alligator in The Villages, who shot to internet fame after someone recorded a video of him crossing a road near Brownwood.
The video was quickly picked up by hundreds of news outlets around the world.
Well, I guess The Villages wasn't a fancy enough place for this big star, and he is off to bigger and better things at Gatorland in Orlando.
According to the local NBC affiliate, officials in The Villages called Gatorland and said Larry was getting a little too comfortable with humans and getting too close to them. – WESH2 News

Since the very first moment I began writing about The Villages, I've heard complaints about poor cell phone coverage.
Hard to blame the cell phone companies too much though, almost no place in the country has grown as quickly as The Villages so keeping up with the amount of infrastructure needed to service all of those people must be a challenge.
Good news though, a 199-foot communications tower is coming soon and it is said that this will improve cell phone coverage in The Villages. – Villages-News
If you're a restaurant and we're talking about Michelin stars, one star is considered very good. But if you're a hospital, one star is not very good.
Unfortunately, that's the rating The Villages Regional Hospital recently received from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Of 3,500 hospitals ranked, only 282 received a one star rating. – Villages-News
