As of this week, you can book a stay at the 151-room Brownwood Hotel & Spa, currently under construction adjacent to Brownwood Paddock Square here in The Villages.
The hotel will feature:
- A Wolfgang Puck Kitchen + Bar
- 10,000 square feet of banquet/conference space
- A 7,000-square-foot dry spa offering both standard and medical services, with 10 treatment rooms and a relaxation room.
It looks like the first date available to reserve a room is April 1, 2020.
I'm not superstitious, but is April Fool's Day the best day to open a hotel, or anything for that matter? I guess time will tell.
At the time of this writing, rooms in April start at $229 for a standard king room.
Pool view rooms and suites are available for slightly more.
It also looks like they do offer a discount for AAA and AARP members.
