It's a big week in The Villages as far as new amenities are concerned, with the Grand Openings of both the Loblolly Executive Golf Course, as well as the Willow Tree Recreation Area being held on the same day.
Loblolly is the companion course to Longleaf which opened last month to rave reviews.
Willow Tree features an adult swimming pool, cornhole, bocce and shuffleboard courts, and a picnic pavilion.

Donald Trump is coming to The Villages in January. Ok, that's not entirely accurate, it's really impressionist, comedian, and singer Jeff Tracta aka “The Singing Trump” from the most recent season of the hit show “America's Got Talent”.
In addition to impersonating Trump, he also does impersonations of Presidents Reagan and Bush, as well as a bunch of other famous people. You can learn more and get tickets here.

For the second year in a row, a Villager has been named a Florida Senior Games Athlete of the Year. Bowler Carol Teel brought home several gold and silver medals at the games that took place in Clearwater late last year. [Villages-News]
Tierra del Sol was formerly a Country Club that has since transitioned to be The Studio Theatreā¢, that seats about 120 people. The Studio's season runs from late September through April each year with four productions running approximately 130 total performances.
