This week residents celebrated Mardi Gras, with festivals in Spanish Springs Town Square on Tuesday, as well as Lake Sumter Landing on Thursday.
In addition to great food and drink, the festivals featured The Villages Dixieland Band, the Aloha O'Ka Hula Dance Troupe, The Villages Twirlers Show Team & Drum Corp, Sunshine Strollers, Perseverance Brass Band, Mardi Gras Stilt Walkers, and more.
Here's a highlight video from the Lake Sumter Landing Mardi Gras Festival from Villages-News:

Hole-in-one's are a very common occurrence here in The Villages. They'd have to be with the amount of golf that's played here, right? Each week when I go to scour the news and bring you the highlights I usually come across at least 2-3 mentions of someone making a hole-in-one. But this week, one headline on Villages-News really caught my eye: Husband and wife get back-to-back holes-in-one
A new episode of The Villages Vmail came out this week. In it you'll get a look at what's to come at one of the newest recreation areas called Sugar Cane. It also features The Villages newest neighborhood, and introduces the brand new Garden Series Villas.
