One of the best trips my mom took late in life was to visit my sister in New Mexico to catch the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.
She would always light up…pun intended…when talking about that trip.
This week, for the first time ever, a hot air balloon festival took place in The Villages.
The Villages Balloon Glow took place Friday through Sunday at The Villages Polo Club beginning at 5 p.m. each day.
If you were feeling brave enough you could even take a ride up in one.
