A few years ago, The Villages was awarded Silver-Level Bicycle Friendly status by The League of American Bicyclists.
It was the first time any community had been awarded that level on their first application.
But things just keep getting better and better, and this year The Villages was given Gold-Level Bicycle Friendly status.
The Villages is just one of 31 out of more than 400 Bicycle Friendly Communities in the United States given the Gold-Level designation, and the only retirement community with the designation.
