According to The Villages Daily Sun, The Villages is going to play an integral part in a plan to bring about 20,000 new jobs to the area over the next 10 years.
“The Sumter County Commission on Tuesday unanimously green-lighted the Developer’s plan for a 1.75 million-square-foot industrial park, a move that will ignite a growth corridor along 4,000 acres south of Wildwood.”

According to Villages-News, a Village of Collier woman has been reported (wrongly, she feels) to Community Standards for her landscaping being out of compliance. [Villages-News]
In a similar matter, another resident was told a sign she posted was out of compliance after complaining about dogs doing their business on her lawn. [Villages-News]
