The Fourth of July tends to take on a relaxing vibe in The Villages. While many residents prefer to spend the holiday relaxing at home, there are still plenty of entertainment options to be found if you are looking for them.
Patriotic Spectacular
This will take place on July 3rd at Savannah Center. According to the description on The Villages Entertainment website:
Join The Bands of the Villages in our annual celebration of America. Members of 3 separate concert bands combine to perform a variety of patriotic music. You’ll hear music from Civil War, John Philip Sousa and Broadway. This year’s concert will be directed by Anthony Maiello, a nationally renowned conductor, Anthony is presently Professor of Music and director of Instrumental Studies at George Mason University Fairfax, Virginia.
There are two shows, one at 3pm and another at 7pm and tickets are $15. More details here.
The Villages Independence Day Ceremony
An Independence Day ceremony is held at Veterans Memorial Park of The Villages on July 4, at 10 a.m.

All American Brews and Cruise at Brownwood Paddock Square
The highlight of 4th of July Events in The Villages for 2023 promises to be the All American Brews and Cruise taking place at Brownwood Paddock Square from 4pm to 9pm.
The event will feature entertainment by The Clark Barrios Band, Aloha O' Ka Hula, The Villages Cheerleaders, The Villages Twirlers & Drum Corp, Prime Time Twirlers, and more.
In previous years the event has ended with a projection light show at 8:45 but so far I haven't seen anything about that for 2023.
American Classic Cars will be on display presented by The Villages Classic Automobile Club and The Villages Vettes Corvette Club.
Enjoy market vendors and popular food trucks like Cousin's Maine Lobster, Curbside Cuisine, Island Fin Poke, BBQ Brazil Express, Kettle Corn Cabin, Kona Ice, and more.
And as the name of the event suggests, there should be plenty of craft brew on tap.
Spanish Springs and Lake Sumter Landing Live Entertainment
Hoping to avoid the crowds but still be entertained?
4th of July entertainment for Spanish Springs and Lake Sumter Landing for 2023 has not been announced at the time of this update.

I definitely see a slowing in the villages which was the hottest real estate market in the country for over 2 years. I would see a house listing come up and the home was already contingent or pending at well over asking with dozens of offers.
Now the homes are sitting on the market for a while with price reductions occurring. The trend is certainly swinging in favor of the buyer now.

We love “inside the Bubble” We have lived here for about 10 years. One of my big issues is that the Villages does not (to my knowledge) publish the regular events that happen every year. We plan ahead for visitors to make sure there are things to do. Do you have a list of the yearly events that always happen? thanks, darlene and Mike

Ryan, I’ve been meaning to thank you. We have your book and have followed you for a very long time. Last March we finally did it! Now we have our own winter escape in the Villages. Having watched the area develop since 1990 it was such an easy decision.
Even though we are no longer just Village dreamers we love Inside the Bubble and will continue to direct people to you.
