The Fourth of July tends to take on a relaxing vibe in The Villages. While many residents prefer to spend the holiday relaxing at home, there are still plenty of entertainment options to be found if you are looking for them.
This will take place on July 3rd at Savannah Center. According to the description on The Villages Entertainment website:
Join The Bands of the Villages in our annual celebration of America. Members of 3 separate concert bands combine to perform a variety of patriotic music along with wonderful popular and folk songs that reflect the heartbeat of our nation.
There are two shows, one at 3pm and another at 7pm and tickets are $15. More details here.
The Villages Independence Day Ceremony
An Independence Day ceremony will be held at Veterans Memorial Park of The Villages on July 4, at 10 a.m. They usually post a schedule of events but I have not seen one yet.
You can check their website for any further details they may provide.
All American Brews and Cruise at Brownwood Paddock Square
The highlight of 4th of July Events in The Villages for 2022 promises to be the All American Brews and Cruise taking place at Brownwood Paddock Square from 4pm to 9pm.
The event will feature entertainment by Ronnie D and the Superstars, Aloha O’ Ka Hula, The Villages Cheerleaders, The Villages Twirlers & Drum Corp, Prime Time Twirlers, and ending with a projection light show at 8:45.
American Classic Cars will be on display presented by The Villages Classic Automobile Club, The Villages Vintage Car Club, Heart of Florida Model A Restorers Club, and Tin Lizzies of North Central Florida.
Enjoy market vendors and popular food trucks like Lee’s Famous Cheesesteaks, Curbside Cuisine, Sikes Southern BBQ, Kettle Corn Cabin, Squeezy, and Kona Ice.
And as the name of the event suggest, there should be plenty of craft brew on tap.
Spanish Springs and Lake Sumter Landing Live Entertainment
Hoping to avoid the crowds but still be entertained?
4th of July entertainment in Spanish Springs this year will be provided by Paisley Craze (“Rockadelic hits from the 60s”!), and Penta, a Daytona Beach rock, blues, and funk band will be at Lake Sumter Landing.
Both of those events will run from 5pm to 9pm.
Fireworks Near The Villages
The projection light show in Brownwood is a nice touch, but if it doesn’t quite feel like the Fourth to you without fireworks, you will have to go for a little drive.
Here are some great places to check out fireworks near The Villages:

On July 3rd from 5pm to 10pm Wildwood will host “Happy Birthday America” at Millennium Park with food vendors, craft vendors, a rock climbing wall, bungie jump, bounce house, face painting, balloon artists, glitter tattoos, live music, and… according to them…the best fireworks show in Sumter County.

On July 3rd, Groveland will kick off the celebration at Lake David Park starting at 4:00 PM. There will be food trucks, craft vendors, exhibitors and non- profits. Fireworks begin at 9pm.
Leesburg (July 4th)
The biggest fireworks show that is close to The Villages happens every year at Venetian Gardens in Leesburg.
This year should be no different, as they have tons of excitement planned for visitors. A water ski show begins at 5pm and live music begins at 6pm on the Jenkins Auto Group Stage with the band Hayfire. A Free Kids Zone filled with bounce houses, slides, and other inflatables.
Fireworks are set to start at 9pm.
