I continue to track all the latest news and updates as it relates to coronavirus in The Villages.

You can read this week’s coronavirus updates here.

This week, I really enjoyed this interview that Jerry and Linda from The Villages Newcomers did with Chad and Jennifer from Kentucky.

They bought a house as an investment (they’ll rent it out when they’re not here) in the Spanish Springs area, and they actually bought it sight unseen!

There are some valuable nuggets in this video for anyone considering buying in The Villages for investment or otherwise.

In that video you’ll hear a little bit about how crazy The Villages real estate market is right now.

In fact, for the first time I can remember, the number of MLS listings (those are resales listed with outside Realtors) is actually higher than the number of VLS listings (those are resales listed through the developers resale arm).

Inventory is incredibly low too.

According to the Realtor I send all of my readers to, the total number of homes for sale between the two listing systems today is 261, compared to 796 on this date in 2020 and 559 in 2019.

If you are thinking about buying a home in The Villages this summer and want to put yourself in the best position to do so, you can connect with the agent I send my readers to right here.

Here’s what else I’ve been reading this week:

About the only thing Villagers like more than new golf courses or new recreation centers are new places to eat.

Restaurants regaining appetite for expansion (The Villages Daily Sun)

Lets hope they can find better customers than this resident though:

Florida woman upset over tomato thickness throws Whopper, shouts racial slurs, police say (News 6)

The Senior Games may be cancelled again this year, but high-level athletes in The Villages are finding creative ways to compete:

Athletes fill gap after Senior Games canceled (The Villages Daily Sun)

It was a bad week for golf cart accidents in The Villages:

Two people injured in golf cart rollover crash in The Villages (Villages-News)

That’s all for this week!
