This week’s video is a very helpful overview of The Villages Home Warranty Experience from Pryde of The Villages:

Here’s what else I’m reading this week:

The Villages is in the national news this week after the U.S. Census Bureau announced that The Villages was the fastest growing Metropolitan Statistical Area for 2010-2020:

Around Four-Fifths of All U.S. Metro Areas Grew Between 2010 and 2020 (US Census Bureau)

Why a retirement community in Florida was the fastest growing metro area (The New York Times)

The Villages, Florida, was fastest-growing metro area this decade (FOX Business)

As is the case in most of the country, coronavirus cases are on the rise here:

Cases climb as Delta spreads (The Villages Daily Sun)

Opinions on where we stand seem mixed though.

On one hand there are residents protesting the vaccine at Lake Sumter Landing:

Villagers for Trump protest vaccine mandates at town square (Villages-News)

And on the other hand, there are residents wondering why nobody wants to wear a mask:

Why Savannah Center? (Talk of The Villages)

I’m still counting but I think there might be as many opinions in The Villages as there are golf courses 😉

Sadly, there was a golf cart fatality at the Brownwood Bridge this week:

Villager killed in golf cart crash at Brownwood Bridge (Villages-News)

Stay safe out there! That’s all for this week.
