Mardi Gras was a no-go in New Orleans this year due to the pandemic, but The Villages plays by a different set of rules.

Speaking of Spanish Springs. You might recall that last year we talked quite a bit about The Villages wanting to put apartments in Spanish Springs.
Well, at least for now, those plans have been shot down by the Lady Lake Commission.

I guess COVID-19 doesn’t exist in Spanish Springs…looking at the maskless residents walking around, I’d never think there was a pandemic going on in Florida and the rest of the world. Not counting the performers, I saw less than 10 residents in the video wearing their masks. Doesn’t The Villages enforce mask-wearing for public events?

Love the Mardi Gras video! As a South Louisiana girl, I can’t wait to move to the villages and enjoy the company of like minded, fun loving folks.
