I came across a couple new local articles regarding Covid-19, one pertaining to falling infections in Lake and Sumter counties, and another about what's being done locally to help those dealing with “long covid”. I've added both article to this page:
You occasionally hear complaints that the new amenities aren't keeping up with the growth, but I couldn't disagree more. I talked about this a little in my interview with The Villages Newcomers. But this article is further proof that most of these complaints are unfounded:

That said, it is a little troubling to think what decisions like this one could mean for “older” favorites like Spanish Springs:

We keep waiting for information on the opening of the new facilities at Sawgrass, especially McGrady’s. It seems to be taking an unusually long time and seems hard to believe they can’t give us at least a tentative date.
