I continue to track all the latest news and updates as it relates to coronavirus in The Villages.
You can read this week’s coronavirus updates here.
I'm watching to see what impact if any the pandemic might have on the amount of snowbirds coming to The Villages this year.
This week there was an article in the Wall Street Journal about covid stranding Canadians up north for the winter.
Goodbye, Sunny Florida. Hello, Frigid Winter. Covid Strands Canadian Snowbirds. (Wall Street Journal)
Here's a thread on Talk of The Villages mentioning the same thing:
Will lack of snowbirds impact the TV rental market? (Talk of The Villages)
I guess time will tell but if you're “in the know” let me know what you think in the comments section down below 👇
Some residents are still showing strong opposition to the apartments The Villages is trying to bring to the community.

They've even formed a group called Villages Promise Preservation Watch (or V2PW for short) to bring awareness to their cause. You can learn more and check out their website right here.
There you can learn about upcoming County meetings on this topic and learn more about what is going on with this important issue.
If you try hard enough, you can find a number of things to complain about in The Villages.
But one thing I feel like you'd have a tough time complaining about is The Villages Public Safety Department.
Plus, they just got a bunch of money to hire more firefighters, so things should be getting even better.

Is Tall Trees the best neighborhood in The Villages? One guy thinks so:
If you live in The Villages, let me know in the comments down below what you think is the best location.
While most people tend to focus on the newer areas, there are definitely some hidden gems like Tall Tress that you might want to consider if you're open to resales.
And don't forget, if you're looking at resales, I've got a guy who can show you the ones not listed with the developer.
Learn more about that right here.
Thanks for reading and I'll see you back here next week!

Tall Trees Village definitely has the most to offer. Wonderful friendly neighborhood. It’s centrally located with banks, library, Publix, hair salons, many restaurants and lots more within a 2 – 5 minute golf cart ride. It’s almost equidistant from all the squares.
Definitely closest to Sumter but just a car ride away from Brownwood. Also close to Savannah center and Polo field. Love it!

I love the information.

I loved living in Summerhill. Nice quiet village close to restaurants and shopping. No through traffic. Moderately priced homes.

I asked to see a map of the Villages which Gary Morse planned be finished build outs as of 2015. I quickly noticed the middle was in the Caroline Village and areas near there. That’s where I wanted to be. The plans for Lake Sumter Landing and the design appealed to me. I also felt it would be more of a deterrent for any crime since it was far from 441 and Wildwood. The Villages has gotten larger than Gary Morse imagined. But then again he now has lots of kids and extended family which The Villages support. Don’t get me wrong I love The Villages. But 14 years ago I would go to the square and run into many people I knew. It’s different now and getting so big with traffic to match. Bottom line is that I would still choose the villages near Lake Sumter as the best location to live.

I absolutely agree! I was pleasantly surprised to see my home when I first looked at your link! We are not only close to everything, but especially in the area of Welcome Way, East Gaffney and Five Forks, we are friends who have become family. We look out for each other in Tall Trees!!
