As many of you know, The Villages is on to their final phase of new homes left to sell, and The Villages of Pine Ridge is part of that final phase.
Former Home of Pine Ridge Dairy
The Villages has not owned the land that The Village of Pine Ridge was built on for very long.
In fact, they only acquired it towards the end of 2013 when they bought the former site of Pine Ridge Dairy.
That's right, this land was once a thriving dairy farm. It's an interesting piece of history really. One that many locals were sad to see go.
Bernice Jeffcoat was the dairy's final owner, and had worked the place for 50 years. She had previously vowed that no houses would ever be built on her rolling pastures.
But the dairy was bleeding money and she apparently changed her wishes in the weeks before her death and decided to make a local church its beneficiary.
There's actually a little scandal involved and you can read more about that here if you're interested.
Close to Golf and Shopping
The Village of Pine Ridge is close to Belle Glade Country Club as well as the Sarasota Practice Center, which Golf Digest recently named one of the top club-fitting facilities in the country.
It's also close to Colony Plaza shopping center, and Colony Cottage Recreation Center.
The Homes
Currently The Villages is offering Courtyard Villas and Cottage Homes in The Village of Pine Ridge.
To make the home buying process even easier for those looking for something “turn-key”, or as I like to call it, “just bring your toothbrush”, The Villages is having furniture and other home furnishings trucked in and placed in many of the homes available for sale.
